APOLLO – New Credit Card Issues
Every month approximately 1.7 million people are approved for a new credit card. 41% of these people are receiving their very first credit card.
Everyone wants a credit card. There are only two types of people in America: those who requested a credit card and were approved, and those who requested a credit card and were denied. There is no third group of people who have not requested a credit card.
The Apollo list is the premier new credit card list in America. It has been mailed by literally every bank card issuer. It also is used successfully by catalog and non-profit mailers and for a variety of other products and services. Hundreds of millions of direct mail packages have been mailed to this list.
Bank card approvals require a higher credit score than most retail card approvals. Of all credit card holders, 65% have at least one bank card, and many of them also have retail cards. The other 35% qualified for retail cards, but not bank cards.
41% of credit card holders have only 1 card, about 33% have 2 or 3 cards and the rest have 4 or more cards. 56% of card holders are female.
The vast majority of card holders live in single family dwellings. Only 8% live in multi-family buildings.
The Apollo list is an important list to test for any type of credit offer. Mailers can select by type of card, the number of cards, gender, etc.
